Rap-ID L. mono™ is a single tube, rapid biochemical test used for the confirmation of colonies resembling L. monocytogenes grown on chromogenic media such as ALOA or RAPID L. mono™ agar. All standard methods require the performance of confirmatory tests to ensure that isolates on these media are L. monocytogenes. The Rap-ID L. mono™ confirms the identification of colonies resembling L. monocytogenes isolated on all chromogenic media from a single colony within 4 hours.

The Rap-ID L. mono™ positive results may appear as early as 2 hours after incubation, but all tests should be incubated up to 4 hours before final
reading is performed.

The Rap-ID L. mono™ utilizes a chromogenic substrate that uniquely differentiates between L. monocytogenes and L. ivanovii.

Performance:
A total of 113 cultures of Listeria spp. were cultured onto ALOA Agar plates and incubated at 37ºC for 24 hours.
After incubation the colony morphology was recorded (halo formation). A single colony was inoculated into Rap-ID L. mono™ and incubated at 37º
C for 4 hours before reading.
